You have probably heard about fractals, which basically are graphic illustrations of mathematical formulas. But they show us an important thing - that there is somehow order and beauty in the chaos of random numbers.
Chaos theory is becoming an increasingly important science. By harnessing the power of chaos we may find new ways to propel our space craft, as well as better understanding of how networks function. We may also learn how the brain functions, and perhaps find clues to one our deepest issues: how does life arise from the chaotic days of the early Earth?
